Vicente's page on the cyberspace

Ohayo!

I’m Vicente Merlo, a software developer from Porto Alegre, Brazil. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where I also participated in the university’s Distributed Systems research group.

I’ve been working with Elixir for 7+ years, both professionally and contributing to open-source projects. My main interests are distributed systems and functional programming.

Apart from programming, my hobbies include self-hosting & homelab; electronics; learning different (human) languages; and amateur radio.

Amateur Radio

I’m into ham radio! My callsign is PU3LOL and you might find me on WSPR and FT8. I enjoy experimenting with digital modes, building exotic antennas, and curating my software-defined radio collection.
